The typical human resources bachelor’s degree will take an expected four years – the equivalent of eight semesters – to complete, although some transferable coursework (including that attained through an associate’s degree) may be applicable. Once admitted into bachelor-level study, students will experience such business-oriented curriculum as finance, management of information systems, strategy and management. They will also experience such HR-related coursework as the study of organizational behavior, and management and development. The typical starting salary for HR specialists with a human resources bachelor’s degree is approximately $45,000 annually (BLS.gov).
